Overall, the bite has been pretty solid. The lake has “opened up” as far as where you can go. We have safe ice (finally), but you do need to pay attention and watch for cracks. We did have to bridge a crack this weekend. There are roads now to the gravel and the mud –
Last few days bite has been good – it warmed up some, mainly perch and some walleye. If you can move around and cover ground there are a lot of big schools of perch out there – any transition areas, any deep mud breaks, along shorelines where it goes to the basin along the edges.
Finally! Another Fishing Report…..Mike has been getting limits of perch on his guide trips…in the last week, he cleaned almost 200 perch! The ice in the bay is 13-15″ and we are allowing half ton vehicles – pulling wheel houses is okay. We are going to be asking people stay in the bay this weekend
With the wind a few days ago, we moved our houses to the bay – the upside to that is the bite has been great. Guests are catching sunnies, bluegills, perch, walleye and northern. It has been consistent. If you move around some, you will do better…we are seeing daily limits of perch mixed with
