The bite is ON now! We have been waiting patiently for the walleye bite to turn on and it finally has – it’s consistent and getting really fun! Guides are boating between 20-50 fish in a 4-8 hour trip, the launches the last few nights have been in the +30 as high as 50 fish in one night. Many of the guides are producing limits of nice 18-20″ walleye while the launches are bringing in a few keepers consistently.
Where to fish: Look for 22′-30′ depths – deep gravel, mud flats. Evenings you can catch them shallow.
What to use: Bobbers, Leaches, spinners, Lindy Rigs with long snells. People are using crawlers and minnows as well.
Good luck!
