What a fun season so far!
Once the ice finally left the bay just AFTER opener, the fishing off the dock turned on nicely. Several limits of fish have been caught so far in the later evening hours. Jigging with a leech or a minnow has been working the best. Fish will be in the warmer waters for awhile – it was reported yesterday that the water temperature up on the north side of the lake was just 37 degrees…..brrr.
If you haven’t heard already, we are introducing a new launch this season – with some delays, she will be in the water this week. This large boat will hold at least 35 people, we are looking to rate it for more for larger party groups. Contact us for more information.
As the guide season starts, there will be more fishing reports to come.
