Cancellations require a minimum day notice as noted below and must be made in writing via email, or mail.
If you cancel before the time noted below, then your deposit will be refunded less a $50 admin fee. If you do not cancel within the required time frame, then your deposit is not refundable. If you cancel less than 7 days before your reservation, then you are liable for the entire reservation total.
If we cancel an ice house, boat reservation, charter, open boat or guide trip due to inclement weather, we will refund your deposit without penalty. In most cases we try to schedule another time, if possible.
Cabins and Ice House Cancellations:
Cancellations made 45 days prior to the arrival date will be cancelled less a $50 fee.
Less than 45 days but more than 7 days, you will be charged 1/2 your reservation total.
If you cancel less than 7 days prior to your reservation or do not show, you will be charged your entire reservation total.
Boat, Guide Trips and Charter Boat Cancellations:
If you need to cancel your boat, guide trip or charter, you must do so 30 days prior to your reservation but more than 7 days prior. There is a $50 charge to cancel prior to 30 days, there is a 50% reservation charge to cancel less than 30 days and more than 7 days and a 100% reservation charge if cancelling less than 7 days.
Open Boat Cancellations:
48 Hours notice on a cancellation or your card provided will be charged.
Cancellation fees are applied to all items on your reservation. So if you cancel within the cancellation period, you are charged $50 per cabin, boat, guide, etc.

Allianz offers several tiers of service: Basic coverage includes cancellation due to attending child birth of family member, death or illness of family members, home inhabitable due to natural disaster, and jury/subpoena. Classic service includes these and loss of job, victim of assault, traffic accident, legal separation or divorce, pregnancy and more.

If you are interested in the insurance, you would want to purchase a policy 45 days prior to your reservation using a value of your potential loss (for example, your deposit amount). In your case, you would purchase coverage for the amount of your deposit. You can add onto your policy at any time. So, 7 days prior to your reservation, for example, you could increase the amount of your policy by the amount due which is the total amount that would be due to us at that time if you were to cancel. Should you cancel, we would collect our cancellation fees and you would seek reimbursement from Allianz.
You do not need to provide documentation when you purchase the policy, only if you file a claim.
